To get rid of your children’s funky foot odors, use a mix that is comprised of 15 percent baking soda, 15 percent salt and 70 percent rice. Place the mix in the shoes and let it work its magic overnight.

For tough carpet stains, lemon essential oil and hydrogen peroxide do the trick. Two parts water, one part hydrogen peroxide, a few drops of lemon oil and a spray bottle are the necessary supplies. Soak the stain and then hit it with a scrubbing brush.
