The superstar singer has spent the past 15 months traversing the globe and while is slated to perform in her native London this upcoming Sunday night, the fans at these gigs may be witnessing history in the making. According to handwritten notes that she has provided in her tour programs, this could very well be her last tour.
In her mind, touring is not something that suits her all that well and she derives far more joy out of being a homebody. The simpler things in life are what means the most to her and she believes her dramatic nature is far more suited to a quieter lifestyle than the one that regular touring provides.
She has completed over 100 shows around the world over the course of the past year and while her fans have certainly enjoyed her presence, this very well may be the last hurrah when it comes to her career as an artist who regularly tours in support of her projects.
The full note reads:
So this is it. After 15 months on the road and 18 months of 25 we are at the end. We have taken this tour across UK + Ireland, throughout Europe, all over America and I finally got to go to Australia and New Zealand too. Touring is a peculiar thing, it doesn’t suit me particularly well. I’m a real homebody and I get so much joy in the small things. Plus I’m dramatic and have a terrible history of touring. Until now that is! I’ve done 119 shows and these last 4 will take me up to 123, it has been hard but an absolute thrill and pleasure to have done. I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favourite artists have had on me live. And I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don’t know if I’ll ever tour again and so I want my last time to be at home. Thank you for coming, for all of your ridiculous love and kindness. I will remember all of this for the rest of my life. Love you. Goodnight for now. Adele.
Hopefully, this will not put a dent in her recording schedule as we need more music that places us directly into our feels zone. Adele has a unique gift for expressing her emotions in a manner that is 100 percent relatable and even her handwritten note about the possibility of no longer touring is written in a way that lets us know where she is coming from.
We love Adele so much and we certainly do not want this to be true. However, we are very torn here, since we want our favorite songstress to be happy and live a life that is free of stress. Entertainers like her have already given us so much and it pains us to think of them being unhappy.
What do you think about Adele’s potential decision to come off of the road for good? Be sure to share this story with all of the Adele fans in your life, so that you can pray together and hope that this is not true…
