Now that photos of this abandoned dog are circulating online, there are a number of people who are expressing a great deal of outrage about the matter. No one likes to see an innocent dog being treated this way. This story took place in the United Kingdom. The dog was found in Hull and had no shelter to speak of. No one was feeding the dog or giving him any water to drink, either.
“It was heartbreaking to see he had been left and how upset he was”
This is the man who ended up finding him. He contacted the dog warden and waited for the dog’s owner to return to collect their pet. Graham even gave the animal food and water in the meantime. Sadly, the animal’s owner never came back. This kind man could not understand why someone would do such a thing.
Graham is much like the rest of us, in the sense that he does not like to see animals being abused this way. He pictured the dog sitting there in shock, not knowing what he had done wrong. This is what abandoned animals are forced to go through. Their owners toss them aside without a second thought and then they are made to experience all sorts of indignities.
The people who saw Graham’s actions online agree with him. Since the initial abandonment, Hull City Council says that the owner did return for the dog. The owner admitted that they were no longer able to care for the animal. This dog’s name is Max and he is now residing with the good folks at the Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire Boxer Rescue. They are helping him search for a forever home.
The specialist boxer rescue is the perfect home for Max in the meantime. It certainly beats sleeping outside on the street, doesn’t it? We wish them all of the best in their efforts to find Max a proper home. At least someone is stepping up to the plate to help our friend Max here. We still cannot believe that someone would be so callous.
Let’s all do our part to help put a stop to these types of occurrences. Hopefully, it will not be long before Max is given the chance to reside in a forever home. He is a kind, sweet dog with no major health issues to speak of. Why his owner gave him up like this, we will never know.
