Dog adopted by gas station rushes to the rescue during an armed robbery

Dogs may get a lot of love but that does not always mean that they receive the necessary credit. These are two different concepts. It is easy to love a dog. After all, they are cute, cuddly and very loyal. On the other hand, we do not always appreciate all of the other aspects that they bring to the table. They can provide emotional support when needed and they are known to come through in the clutch.

It is no wonder why so many people adopt dogs of their own. We are tired of the online narratives that surround dogs, narratives that portray them as dumb idiots who live to eat our trash. They might enjoy drinking toiler water but that does not make them any less smart, dang it. Take the dog that was adopted by the good folks at this gas station, for instance.

Randy the dog was adopted by the people who are responsible for running this Mexican gas station. The poor pup had been spending his days wandering the streets until the owners were finally willing to take him in. Once they allowed him inside, he became something of an official mascot for the gas station and was immediately beloved by all.

This dog’s loyalty was immediately evident and eventually, this loyalty would be put to the ultimate test. When this gas station received an unwanted visit from some armed robbers, the attendant was on hand received a vicious beating. These men wanted money and they wanted it now. Randy was not about to allow anything to happen on his watch, though.

He woke up from his nap and chased the robbers away. They wanted no part of a well-rested Randy and we cannot say that we blame them. We would have hightailed it out of there, too. This incident shows just how smart and brave dogs can be when they are given a chance. This gas station took a shot on a stray and it paid off for them in a big way.

The workers may have been surprised by his reaction but those who know dogs best were not. This is simply what they do. They look out for others and they do not mind risking life and limb to do so.
