Dog Slowly Walks Up To Bearded Man At Airport Until Familiar Scent Sets Him Off

Life often forces us to spend time without the people who matter to us the most. This is a sad reality that cannot be avoided, no matter how hard we try. These sorts of moments are inevitable but that does not make them any easier to endure. Work and school often carry us in the opposite direction from our loved ones. Fortunately, we have technology to help us fill in the blanks.

While we often consider these realities when it comes to our friends and loved ones, we do not always stop to think about the effect that these departures have on our pets. We do not always know about the effect that our lifestyles will have until it is too late. Just ask the soldier in this story. He had no idea how much his dog was missing him.

His pet’s longing was all too real. When he was finally reunited with his pooch at an airport, the emotion that the animal displayed will have you reaching for the Kleenex. Of course, the dog’s reunion clip went viral right away. Everyone can relate to these types of moments. This animal was happily wagging their tail and their owner was trying their best to remain composed.

The dog’s face was filled with joy. However, the animal did not immediately recognize his owner. The man’s beard was long and he was wearing a hat. We suspect that this was the reason why the animal did not feel compelled to approach him right away. Once he got closer to the man, he was able to recognize. As it turns out, his scent was a dead giveaway.

Dogs are able to memorize scents in a way that humans cannot possibly comprehend. Even the sort of physical changes that this man experienced were not enough to stop the dog from knowing his scent. He realized that the bearded man was his dear friend and immediately leaped onto the man. He was very, very excited and wanted the soldier to know it.
