Easter is right around the corner. For many of us, that means that it is time to start gorging ourselves on Cadbury cream eggs once again. We also get the chance to enjoy the latest installment of commercials that star the beloved Cadbury bunny. This year, the brand decided that they were going to hold an open tryout, so that they could find the very best “bunny” for the job.
This was the first time that the brand ever held an open tryout for the new bunny and it was an event to remember. Over the course of February and March, the company met with various dogs to find out more about each candidate. At long last, a winner was announced. A bulldog named Henri was chosen for this prestigious honor. All it takes is one look at the dog to realize why.
Tim Santillo and his wife Kathie are the dog’s owners. They reside in North Carolina. As for Henri, he is now going to be starring in the company’s iconic commercials. The Clucking Bunny commercial has never been this adorable. In addition to his day in the spotlight, Henri also took home a $5,000 cash prize. That can definitely buy a whole lot of kibble!
Cadbury is also providing a generous donation to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. $10,000 will be given to the organization in Cadbury’s name. Over 4,000 pets entered the contest and Henri was able to triumph over all of these competitors. It is a testament to just how adorable he is. There were other animals among the competitors, too.
Henri had to beat out other dogs, a lizard, a horse, a goat and even a llama. Doug the Pug was even one of the judges. He is certainly qualified to make these types of determinations. Henri has already created his own platform. He is Instagram famous in his own right.
