When a “laryngospasm” takes place, this is one of the single most frightening things that a person can experience. This is the name for the sensation that a person goes through when they are no longer able to speak or breathe. These certified registered nurse anesthetists decided that they would turn this medical issue into something a little less frightening.
In order to work in the medical field, you need to have a strong sense of humor. This group definitely fits the bill. They used the name of the aforementioned sensation as a title for their singing ensemble and now they have the Internet in stitches. Their newest music video has caught on like wildfire and we cannot get enough of their hilarious antics.
The Laryngospasms first came together while these men were in the process of studying for their degrees. These guys might be ridiculous but they are certainly talented. After they had endured all of the stress that is associated with finals week, it was time to blow off a little steam. They decided that they would perform for the Minneapolis School of Anesthesia.
Their song choice? Some good old fashioned Neal Sedaka. Instead of simply singing “Breaking Up Is Hard To Do”, they had to put their own little spin on the proceedings. “Waking Up Is Hard To Do” is their version and we can’t stop laughing at the cleverness. By the time this song was over, everyone who was in attendance found themselves wiping away tears of laughter.
How can you not love these guys? That was the first performance that they ever put on and now they are back at it again. “Waking Up Is Hard To Do” is now getting an official video and it is our pleasure to share it with you. This is one of the funniest performances that we have ever seen. These guys know their way around a parody song.
Someone get Weird Al on the phone. If you would like to check out their performance for yourself, be sure to take a closer look at the video below. We are jealous of those who get to see these guys in person. Maybe they can take a national tour once their days of assisting patients are finally behind them. In the meantime, let’s all do our part to get them famous by taking the time to share this awesome video.
