How to keep keep fleas, ants, and roaches out of your home this summer

No one ever wants to be forced to share their living space with unwanted insects who don’t even bother to chip in a few dollars for the bills. There are numerous insects that find their way into our homes and we are here to provide you with helpful tips and pointers to remove them from your residence without using harmful chemicals.

Let’s start by taking a closer look at how you can get rid of your unwanted ant infestations. Lemon juice will deter them from entering and you can spray it on every crack and crevice that allows them to enter. Chalk can be used in a similar manner and so can a mixture of cinnamon and clove.

Making a mixture of half water and water vinegar keeps them at bay as well, since they are not fans of the smell. If you are looking to kill them? Cayenne pepper is a great way to do the trick and you can also make a spray comprised of dish soap, water and sugar that will spell disaster for them.

What about fleas? Borax powder is helpful and should be sprinkled on flea ridden surfaces, while you can also give your pet a capful of apple cider vinegar to assist them in warding off these pests (they hate the taste of sour animal blood). Dish soap traps are another natural method that can be used.

Last but certainly not least, let’s talk about getting rid of those nasty roaches. Diatomaceous earth of the food grade variety dehydrates them from the inside out, while baking soda causes their insides to disintegrate. Sprinkling a mixture that is one part sugar and three parts Borax in cracks and crevices also works quite well.
