Jennifer Aniston Hints At The Possibility Of A ‘Friends’ Reboot With All Her Costars

“Friends” fans are feeling a bit hopeful for a possible reboot sometime in the future, after Jennifer Aniston revealed that she would be open to the idea of a show reunion. The actress opened up during her appearance on the “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Wednesday.

“Why not? You know what, because, listen, I told you this. I would do it,” Jennifer told Ellen after she opened the interview and almost immediately said that Aniston should “do a ‘Friends’ reunion.”

Aniston seems to believe she wouldn’t be the only one who would be up for a reboot. Then actress then divulged that her former co-stars would probably also be willing to appear in a reboot.

She said, “The girls [Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow] would do it. And the boys [David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, and Matt LeBlanc] would do it, I’m sure.”

She also added, “Listen. Anything could happen.”

The show ended 15 years ago, after running for an impressive 10 seasons. Since then, the cast has been getting questions regarding a possible reunion. But Aniston’s latest response has been an answer that definitely sparks hope that the cast members are ready for a revival.

Previously, different co-stars of Aniston’s have voiced their doubts that there would be able to recapture the former spirit of the show – seeing as it was a show about a group of young adults finding their own family bond. The ending of the show had the friends going off to form their own families.

According to E! News, Lisa Kudrow told Today back in 2017, “I don’t see it happening. It would be fun, but what would it be about? Think about it. The thing we liked best about the show was that they were 20-somethings and they were their own family. Now, they all have families, so what are we going to watch?”

Matt LeBlanc had a similar response in 2018 while speaking with the Daily Mail.

“I don’t want to do it […] People want to know what happened to them. But it was about a finite period in a person’s life after college, before you settle down and start a family. To go back and revisit all these years later, well I don’t know what the story would be now. They would all have moved on from that period, so it just wouldn’t be the same,” he explained.

Tell us what you think? Would you like to see a “Friends” reunion?
