Do you remember the Where’s Waldo picture books? They had drawings that were very busy; with lots of buildings, people, trees, animals, and cars. Hidden somewhere in the picture is a man named ‘Waldo’. The challenge is to find Waldo in those pictures and sometimes, it can be very difficult to do.

This is a case of life imitating art. It may not be Waldo hiding in this picture but there is something in the picture that most people miss. When you first look at it, you will see a pile of stuffed animals and include everything from a zebra to an Angry Bird. Are you able to find the real-life animal? Most people can’t.

This picture was shared on Catioro Reflexivo, a Portuguese language Facebook page. Once it was put online, it quickly went viral with thousands of shares and likes. When you look down through the comments, you will see that most people had a hard time finding the hidden animal.

That’s right. It is the DUCK! Of course, this isn’t any normal duck, it is Godofredo, a feathered companion of Gustavo Carvalho Dias. They have been best buds for 2 years. He wanted to share the picture because he knew it would stump most people.

“I think it’s funny that people are looking for a dog or cat,” Dias said. “Why would anyone expect a duck to be hidden in the middle of the toys?”

Godofredo may be hard to find in the picture but in real life, he is bigger than life.

“He has always been special,” Dias said. “He has a strong personality. He is very curious, alert, but also affectionate.”

You might not think of ducks as being a pet but when you have one as part of your family, you will see how wonderful they can be.
