This feels like the setup to some sort of silly joke but we assure you that is the furthest thing from the truth here. Italo Nascimento Fernandes resides in Brazil and he and his wife were not far from home when this incident took place. They spotted something rather unexpected that was attempting to make their way across a very busy street.
Most people would have probably kept going but Italo Nascimento Fernandes is not most people. He wanted to make sure that the animal was safe and sound. When he came closer to the animal, he realized that it was a giant snake. They stopped their car, got out and set about the task of helping the animal out. No signs were available and he knew that the animal was in danger.

“I have seen snakes run over on the highway before,” says Fernandez. He knows that this behavior is also a crime. All of the world’s animals deserve love and protection, not just the ones that we find cute and cuddly. Fernandez did his best to help out the animal, signaling to the vehicles that were making their way down the road at the time.
This was not going to be enough, though. Other people finally decided to stop and help. We wonder if there would have been the same outpouring of support for the snake if this man had not gotten the ball rolling first. A group of well wishers soon arrived on the scene and worked to shield the snake from the oncoming traffic.

All of God’s creatures are equally important to him and we wish more people thought this way.
After all, isn’t that what it is all about? We are glad to see that this snake successfully made their way across the road and back into the woods, where they belong. Flavio Terassini is a biologist who is expressing gratitude for the man’s actions. This snake is a fortunate survivor and Terassini is beyond happy about what took place this day.
