Rick Ross is a shadow of his former self. Literally. The Hustlin’ rapper has been determined to lose the pounds he packed on after his arrest for assault and kidnapping on his “RossFit” program. “I don’t do that sh*t called CrossFit,” said Ross. “I call it “RossFit.”
Rick has already lost more than 100 POUNDS and is determined to lose EVEN more weight. Ross admits he was lazy before his fitness overhaul and says he actually enjoys “RossFit” training even though his daily workouts are gruelling.”It’s tough. It’s a different type of workout,” he said. “I feel good.”
“I started doing it last year,” Ross told 93.9 WKYS FM. “The most I used to do for exercise was stand up to count the money, you know what I’m saying?” Ross said he stills eats the way he used to, but in smaller portions, and he makes exercise a priority. “I eat pears now and s**t like that,” he said. “I still eat the way I want to eat. I just go to the gym.”
Rick Ross used to enjoy eating a huge plate of food before bed, but has been working hard to improve his health and now eats earlier in the evenings. The rapper is also eating more fruits, veggies and drinking water instead of soda. In an interview with GQ, the Miami native detailed his new daily eating regimen.
Rick Ross now has a diet which consists of grass-fed lamb loin chops, cauliflower roasted with sriracha flavoring, kale casserole, and his personal favorite Asian pears accented with cinnamon, honey, and mint. “I love pears. Most definitely- it’s a fact,” the “Diced Pineapples” rapper said.
Rick Ross loves to drink fresh beet juice blended with lemons, honey, and mint which he drinks instead of soda. “After you’ve done a RossFit—better known as a CrossFit—workout for 25 minutes and you walk in and drink an ice-cold glass of beet juice, it’s the best-tasting fluid in the world.” Rick told GQ magazine.
For lunch Rick Ross loves a Caesar Salad with oven-fried shallots and grilled organic chicken breast. The “Thug Cry” rapper recalled the first time he ate the healthy dish: “I remember the first time eating my chef’s Caesar salad. It was just like one of those moments in the movie theater when everything gets quiet.”
But there is one thing as hard as he tries cannot give up – he’s still gotta have his chicken wings from his Wingstop restaurants! This should come as no surprise since Rick Ross owns 25 Wingstop franchises. The company has a great relationship with the Black Market rapper. Wingstop’s Chief Marketing Manager Flynn Dekker recently spoke to XXL about the chicken chain’s ties with Ross. Wingstop’s Chief Marketing Manager Flynn Dekker said: “Rick is an awesome business man and great promoter. I work a lot with his sister Tawanda, she is the backbone of the organization. She’s not only helping him run his empire, she’s really in the day-to-day in the Wingstop business as well and they are growing fast. They are passionate about it.”
