Shelter Cat Hangs Onto Woman Who Can’t Adopt Him, So She Helps Him Find The Perfect Family

Cats are not always closely associated with the concept of being clingy. In most cases, cats are not going to pester humans unless there is something that they want. When Jessica and Andy recently visited a local pet store, they got way more than they ever could have bargained for in this regard. They saw a cute kitty in the window and asked to take a closer look.

This is a common impulse for those of us who walk past pet stores, isn’t it? We always say that we are “just going to take a look around” and then we end up wanting to pet and hold all of the adorable animals on hand. The cat took an immediate liking to Jessica, too. He grabbed her by the neck and it was clear to see that he was not going to let go.

Jessica was not expecting the cat to take to her so quickly. She decided that she would name the animal “Clutch”, in a nod to his clingy behavior. Sadly, the couple was not able to take the cat home with them initially. Since they already had a senior cat and a young child at home, they were not able to take Clutch with them. He does not always play well with others.

We would imagine it is because of how needy he is. The couple was not about to leave without helping the cat first. They decided that they would put in the effort needed to find this cat an awesome forever home. Andy posted a video of the cat holding onto his girlfriend, so that the rest of the world would have a chance to see how sweet this cat can be.

The video had the desired effect. It went viral and everyone started to dream about what it would be like to hold onto Clutch. The couple returned to the pet store where the initial meeting and were stunned by the outpouring of support. There was a line of people inside and they were all looking to take Clutch back home with them.

Hopefully, those who did not get to take Clutch back to their homes with them were willing to adopt some of the other fine animals that this location has to offer. If you would like to check out the video that was posted by Andy that led to the deluge of applications, be sure to click on the link below.

Hey everyone, thank you for all the love on this video. We have gotten word that this guy has found a home. For everyone who keeps asking why we couldn't take him is because we have a 19 year old cat at home who needs constant love and affection and would probably get very depressed and die if we brought another animal home and we have a three year old child as well. We were told that he does not do well with other animals and/or children. So, that is the reason why we couldn't take him ourselves. Thanks to us posting this video in a local group he had a stack of applicants and they narrowed it down to one.
