Thieves Try To Siphon Gas From Bus But Suck Out Sewage By Accident Instead

There is an old saying that we are probably familiar with. It is, ‘what goes around comes around’. More than likely, we have seen this come true more than once in our lives.

If you haven’t seen it in action recently, then you need to hear this story. It seems that a couple of gas thieves learned the hard way that it comes around hard sometimes.

Gas is expensive and people will sometimes try to obtain it illegally. One of the ways they might do so is to siphon gas from a parked vehicle and, for the most part, it is a fairly straightforward operation.

Perhaps that is why we love this story about something that happened to some gas thieves in Australia. It takes a special kind of stupid to fall into this category.

They probably put together the plan well in advance. The plan was to siphon gas from a parked tour bus when nobody was around. They waited until the middle of the night to make their move.

I would imagine they were proud of themselves when they first started but it wasn’t long before things turned sour.

They made an error when positioning the siphoning tube. Rather than sucking out the gas from the bus, they managed to get another fluid.

I’m sure you know where this is going.

They sucked out some raw sewage.

Laverton Police Senior Sargent Heath Soutar gave the following report:

“We can infer they [made] a very hasty retreat, with a somewhat bitter taste in their mouth.”

Nobody has been arrested in connection with the crime yet but I would have to say that they did pay the price.

It seems that this particular crime managed to have it coming around in their direction in the worst way possible.
