Woman Holds Dying Shelter Dog In Her Arms All Night So He Won’t Pass Away Alone

While we find ourselves hoping that every dog in the streets finds themselves a nice forever home to spend their days in, this is not a fate that is afforded to most stray animals. There are too many dogs that die alone because no one ever cared to help them. That is what makes this story such a special one. One woman decided to intervene during a dog’s hour of need.

Now, the story has gone viral and she is receiving a great deal of praise for her actions. In her mind, she was only doing what was right, though. Janine saw Watson the pitbull and knew that she had to help. It was clear to see that he was quite literally on his last legs. Instead of passing him by like so many others, Janine decided that she would assist the poor fellow.

She works for the good people at Speranza Animal Rescue and is very empathetic to animals like Watson. She knows what it is like for animals like him when they cannot find homes to call their own. These dogs spend their entire lives roaming the streets, never knowing what it is like to feel the touch of a caring human. Janine wanted to make sure that Watson went out on a high note.

A stranger brought him to her and he was covered in sores. Watson also had a tumor that was inoperable. There was not much that could be done for the dog at this point in time. Janine just wanted to make sure that he was comfortable and happy during his final days on this planet. She had a feeling that Watson was not long for this world.

That is why she stayed by his side. She did not want him to feel as if he was all alone. Janine slept over at the shelter and stayed by his side until morning, holding him while he snoozed. When they woke up in the morning, she knew that he was about to move onto a better place. It did not take long before he was pronounced dead.

Watson left this world knowing that he was loved by someone. We all like to feel as if we matter to the rest of the world and Watson is certainly no different. If you appreciated Janine’s kind gesture as much as we did, please be sure to pass this story along to your friends and loved ones.
