Woman Roasts Boyfriend After He Proposes With Grandma’s Ugly Engagement Ring

If you search the Internet for any stories about ugly engagement rings, you are going to come up with a lot of options. For the most part, the women who open the stories does so with a picture and is usually lambasted, to say the least. There are many times when nothing is actually wrong with the ring but the person just dislikes it for their own, personal reasons.

I don’t think that the woman who disliked this ‘granny ring’ given to her by her fiancé falls into that category.

I’ll be the first one to admit that the ring is actually ugly.

That being said, I don’t really care about jewelry but I do understand that the engagement ring is a huge deal for many women.

The fact that somebody is down on one knee and proposing marriage is often a once-in-a-lifetime deal. If somebody is saying that they are going to spend the rest of their life with you, then the ring should be just as special as the proposal.

The last thing that you would want is to wear something on your hand that attracted attention in all the wrong ways. It seems as if that is what this woman received from her boyfriend.

It’s a good idea to understand a little bit about the backstory of this ring. It isn’t just a random item, it belonged to his grandmother and is a valued family heirloom. There are probably many good vibes that go along with the ring but it is still important to remember that your significant other will be wearing it every day.

Some people may say that it really doesn’t matter what a ring looks like, it only matters that they want to spend the rest of their lives with you. That really doesn’t leave much in the way of personal style.

She gave it her best shot to deal with it in the best way possible but she just couldn’t come to terms with how it looked.

Incidentally, here is how it looked:

What is a person to do when their significant other gives them a train wreck of an engagement ring? She couldn’t exactly go to him or any member of his family to talk it out. Perhaps that is why she went online to get the opinion of those on Reddit.

That being said, the story is now viral so if her fiancé spends any amount of time online, he’s likely to see the story. Even with her face blurred out, that ring is one-of-a-kind.

Some people felt that she was being conceded and didn’t deserve to have somebody that would give her such a valued ring, even if it was sentimental value.

Others said that she shouldn’t have been complaining about the ring or she may have gone about things in a different way. A private conversation may have done a world of good in comparison with complaining for the entire world to see.

Some even said there was a follow-up and that she was able to resolve the matter with her fiancé. That being said, some still thought that her fiancé was better off if he ran for the hills.

I guess we all have our opinion and the Internet gives us what we need to voice it.
