Woman Who Lost 126 Pounds A 2nd Time Is Completely Transparent About Yo-Yo Weight Loss Journey

Ariana Omipi has gained a lot of attention recently. She is a 24-year-old woman from New Zealand who lost 126 pounds in 11 months during 2014 and then put it all back on.

She discusses her weight loss journey that many people would call a yo-yo diet. She managed to lose over 100 pounds, not once but twice.

Ariana Omipi was very interested in her health but she found her love of food got in the way and it was challenging to lose weight.

Over the course of 11 months, she did manage to lose about 125 pounds but because of her addiction to food, she put the weight back on again.

The first time she lost weight was back in 2014 when she was 19 years old. She decided a low-carb diet would be the best choice for her. Because of her weight loss, she had many people who began following her on Instagram and were inspired by her dedication and her method.

What many of her fans didn’t know is that she began to put the weight back on in 2018 and she added on a few pounds on top of it.

When she discussed the food cravings that were so difficult, she had the following to say: “It consumed me in a way that I can’t even describe. It was an overwhelming hunger that I could not silence but only block out temporarily.”

As she began to gain weight until it neared her former upper limit, she stopped documenting the story to her 75,000 fans. She said: “My portion sizes were large portion and I’d constantly feel hungry so go back for seconds, thirds or sometimes even just make another meal.”

The digital marketing director finally decided that she had had enough and went in for gastric sleeve surgery in March. Her intention was to shed the weight once and for all.

Gastric sleeve surgery permanently removes about 90% of the stomach. It is a minimally invasive procedure that takes place using a very small incision. It has helped many people, including Ariana.

With the surgery and determination, she lost the weight again and this time she plans on keeping it off.

She is also happy to say that she has eliminated a lot of her health issues and is no longer constantly plagued with hunger.

Prior to the surgery, she would get a rash when she would sweat and had problems with her knee. She never exercised because of those issues.

Thanks to her new, healthy outlook on life, she works out twice a week and has a personal trainer. She goes back and forth between weights and cardiovascular exercise.

She added: “I feel like I have control over food. I can cook something without feeling the desire or need to eat it.”

She did find it difficult to be in public while she was losing weight and feels pressured that she should maintain a certain appearance.

The influencer said: “I have transformed far beyond physical appearance and weight loss this year and I am so immensely happy that I am excited about my life and what is to come for my future again.”
