Women spot a dog in a junkyard, scan the microchip and realize he’s been missing for two years

When Kelly and Ted’s dog Bear ran away from home, the couple believed that they would never see their beloved pet again. However, with the assistance of a very helpful Good Samaritan and an implanted microchip, Bear was found in the nick of time and given the chance to enjoy Thanksgiving with his family.

Bear took off when Ted accidentally rear ended a car while driving, in an obvious moment of fright. He sprinted across the highway and into the woods, where he was unable to be found by his father, even after twelve long hours of searching.

Over the course of the next two years, Kelly and Ted were left to wonder about Bear’s whereabouts and what he was doing. But what they did not know is that two wonderful women had found their best friend and were doing everything in their power to care for him and reunite him with his family.

A year after his initial disappearance, the women saw Bear meandering through a junkyard. From there, they started to leave food out for him twice a day and while they did their absolute best to catch him, the dog would elude all of their best attempts to do so.

With the help of a local animal rescue association, the women constructed a humane trap to catch the lost pup. Once the rescue group noticed his microchip, they immediately set about the task of reuniting him with his rightful owners and within 24 hours, Bear was returned to his home.
