174 Foxes Freed From Tiny Cages On Fur Farm Feel The Ground For The First Time

Animals like these should never be caged against their will. There is something about seeing any wild animal in this predicament that tears us apart. No animal deserves to be treated this way. That is what makes this story such a heartwarming one. These foxes were trapped on a fur farm initially.

Their prognosis was a grim one, of course. There are not many animals who emerge from these locations unscathed. 174 foxes have been given the chance to enjoy life anew, thanks to this awesome rescue effort. They are now going to reside in a Buddhist nursery garden until further arrangements can be made. Their rescuers are in the process of constructing the proper enclosure.

Once the enclosure is complete, the foxes will reside in China. Karen Griffin spearheaded the rescue and she was working to raise awareness about these types of atrocities. There are too many people who are blissfully unaware of the issues that wild animals face. These foxes were bred domestically and they only have a few months to live before being skinned.

According to Griffin, a fox that is born in the spring can be expected to be skinned by wintertime. Sadly, these animals cannot be sent back into the wild directly. Animals that are bred in this manner cannot return to the wild, for fear that the other animals will not take kindly to them. These foxes will have to spend the rest of their lives at a sanctuary.

The foxes were only given a second chance because their owners had nothing to do with them. They knew that they would not make back their investment on these foxes and wanted to cut their losses before it was too late. The Buddhist Jilin Nursing Garden was more than happy to take them on. The photos of the foxes enjoying the garden are absolutely priceless.
