3-Year-Old Boy Survived 2 Nights Cold In The Woods Because ‘A Friendly Bear’ Kept Him Safe

Sometimes we get so used to hearing bad news that good news takes us by surprise. We got a dose of that good news recently when we heard that Casey Hathaway was found safe, 2 nights after he went missing from his grandmother’s home. The tale unfolded in North Carolina and the happy ending is better than you could have ever expected.

3-Year-Old Casey wandered off from his grandmother’s backyard in Ernul on January 22. He was supposedly playing with 2 other children but disappeared in a wooded area nearby. When they noticed he was missing, the grandmother called the police and a two-night search was underway.

What is surprising is that the boy was found safe after spending 2 nights in a patch of thorny bushes. Even though the temperatures were below freezing, he was in good health when they found him.

Casey has had some time to settle back in and get his strength back. His family is now coming forward with some surprising information about what he had gone through while he was in the woods those 2 nights.

Breana Hathaway, the little boy’s aunt said he made an unlikely friend while he was in the woods and it wasn’t a human. According to the family. Casey is saying that he “hung out with a bear for two days.” This is what was shared on Facebook:

“Casey is healthy, smiling, and talking. He said he hung out with a bear for two days God sent him a friend to keep him safe. God is good God. Miracles do happen”

That is about as sweet as it gets. Although we can’t say for sure what actually happened with the ‘bear’, we can say that Casey was kept safe during a frightening time. You just never know what to expect.
