There are plenty of people out there who love dogs and honestly, it’s easy to see why. There are also plenty of humans out there that deserve a little bit of love as well. Maybe that is why this story about is making people so emotional.
A Twitter user shared text messages from her father recently. He is a mailman who leaves treats for the dogs along his route.
My dad is a mailman and he likes to give dogs on his route treats. Today he told us one of the dogs on his route passed away and his owners gave him this bag of treats with this note ???? pic.twitter.com/JA46PU60a4

The mailman stopped by the home on Monday and found a bag of treats waiting for him. It included a note from the dog’s owner, who wanted him to know that Gretchen, their dog had passed away.
The note reads:
Gretchen passed away yesterday. She asked me to ask you if you would share her treats that she never got to finish with the other dogs on your route. She always enjoyed seeing you come to the door and was always happy to get a snack from you.

In his text messages, he described Gretchen as being a teddy bear and a huge German Shepherd.
