Celebrities tend to be public figures 24 hours a day. People know their business when the cameras are rolling and after they stop.
Sometimes, the focus is taken away from their talents, and the comments start to roll in about their lifestyle choices or even their appearance.
Celine Dion has come under fire recently with critics saying she has issues with both her weight and her style.
The singer has been the target of some serious body shaming because she has gotten ‘too skinny’ and isn’t dressing appropriately for her age.
They are also concerned about her health after she appeared at Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris, France, looking a little gaunt.
Dion can let the comments roll off like the best of them but now, she is firing back at the skinny shamers.
The Canadian said the talk about her weight doesn’t cause her to lose any sleep. She is just going to continue to do what she wants because it makes her ‘feel attractive’.
“If I like it, I don’t want to talk about it. Don’t bother. Don’t take a picture,” she said. “If you like it, I’ll be there. If you don’t, leave me alone.”
Dion has changed her style since her husband passed away in 2016. She said that it is for her own benefit and not to please others.
“The way that we used to work before was more conservative,” she said. “I’m doing this for me. I want to feel strong, beautiful, feminine and sexy.”
She added, “I just want to be the best of me and be surrounded- like my husband always surrounded me with-the best people.”
Dion spoke out about her dating life, as it has also been the target of speculation. It was rumored that the 50-year-old singer was dating Pepe Munoz, her 34-year-old trainer.
She said they are ‘best friends’ but are not in a relationship.
“Of course we hug and hold hands and go out, so people see that,” Dion explained. “I mean, he’s a gentleman. He’s giving me his hand to go out.”
Dion is also not overly concerned about the relationship gossip flying around. After all, he is more than her best friend, she says that ‘he’s handsome’.

Dion says that she is single and people should just leave her alone about her choices. To be honest, it really isn’t anyone’s business and all of the gossip is getting rather old.
If you are concerned about her health, she claims that she is at the top of her game. She is now living in Vegas after suffering from some complications associated with her vocal chords. Now she is enjoying traveling, being with family and doing some soul searching after losing her husband.
“It’s all new. It’s like I’m having a second wind — 50 has been great for me,” the singer said.
