Dad Attaches Rabbit Water Bottle To Son’s Bed Because He Refuses To Stop Playing Video Games

There is no doubt that children love their games but sometimes they get obsessed with playing them. That was the case for one young lad who played on his PlayStation for so long that his father decided to take action. The boy kept demanding to have drinks brought to him so the father attached a rabbit water bottle to the bed frame.

This father is winning at life.

33-year-old Kristian Wilkes ran up and down the stairs frequently to take Logan drinks. Logan was his eight-year-old son who was obsessed with playing computer games with his friends. He decided to buy a water bottle for a few dollars as a joke. It may have started out funny but now most people are considering it ingenious.

He said: “It was more of a joke – but now I think it’s the best £2.50 I ever spent!”

“I was fed up of him shouting down for a drink.

“When he’s online gaming, he of course can’t leave his bedroom.

“He only plays on it for a few hours a night, but when he is, he’s constantly banging or shouting down for a drink.

“Then when he has one, he spills them.

“I joked that I’d get him a hamster bottle, so he didn’t need to bother me.

“Then when we were out the other day I found a large one – probably for a rabbit.

“He came in and I’d stuck it to the side of his bunk-bed, so when he lies down in bed he only needs to turn his head for a drink.

“He didn’t even notice, and he lay there for 20 minutes.

“Then he shouted down, ‘Dad, why have I got a gerbil bottle on the side of my bed?'”

Apparently, Logan even used it that night so it is not only a good point to make, it has practical value as well.

“He used it that night as well,” the dad added. “It was great. I didn’t have to be up and down the stairs getting him drinks.

“I did it as a joke – I don’t want people to think I’m a pushover or anything. I just did it for a laugh to poke fun at him. But a lot people have been saying what a great idea it was.

“I’ve said to his mother I’m going to get him one of those hats with the straws wrapped round them. It’s a good idea and he doesn’t have to leave his game.

“I’ve got a four-year-old daughter too and she’s really demanding, so it’s a bit of a nightmare when I’m trying to sort her out and he’s shouting for a drink.

“I’ve had to ban him from taking cups up there because obviously I’ll find them under his bed and all over the place.”

The father is so happy with himself over his idea he now is considering buying one for his own use. Perhaps it can help him to cope when he gets on a bender the night before.

He said: “Logan’s friends have seen the funny side and he’s enjoying the attention now. Even some of their parents have commented what a great idea it is.

“I’ve not had any negative comments – everyone I’ve spoken to seems to be giving the idea a thought.

“It’s a great idea for hangovers too – I might fit one next to my bed as well.”

Coolest dad ever.
