Jason Momoa Wants To Remake ‘Twins’ With Peter Dinklage: ‘Tell Me Where To Sign’

Lately it seems that all the classics we remember fondly from our youth are going on 20, 30 years old. One of those, “Twins,” is celebrating being over 30 years old. In case you need a plot reminder, “Twins” is a comedy about an unlikely pair of twins separated at birth, who are portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito.

When Julius (played by Schwarzenegger) discovers that he has a brother (played by DeVito) and a mother, he sets off in search of them and ends up in LA. The two brothers then have to combine their skills to locate their mother and avoid conflict.

It’s easy to see why so many people consider it a favorite, and during a panel at Celebrity Fan Fest, held in San Antonio, Texas, “Game of Thrones” star Jason Momoa stated that he loved the film and out love to remake it with his fellow “Game of Thrones” star, Peter Dinklage.

When asked by a fan if he would partake in a remake of the film, Momoa wrote, “F**kin’ tell me where to sign! Absolutely. That’d be amazing. I love that movie.”

Momoa also agreed with the panel’s moderator that support for the project should be sought on social media.

During the same panel, the star of “Game of Thrones” and “Aquaman” also revealed that he’d love to play Wolverine when the X-Men franchise gets a reboot following the flop of “Dark Phoenix.”

According to Cinema Blend, Momoa answered after being asked which Marvel character he’d most like to portray.

“I’d love to play Wolverine,” he said. “(Hugh Jackman) was phenomenal. I grew up just loving Wolverine.”

Many are predicting the end of the current X-Men series after “Dark Phoenix” opened to poor reviews and not much money.

Simon Kinberg, a screenwriter who made his directorial debut with the movie, shouldered the blame for the film’s box office failure.

“It clearly is a movie that didn’t connect with audiences that didn’t see it, it didn’t connect enough with audiences that did see it,” Kinberg admitted. “So that’s on me.”

He then added, “I loved making the movie, and I loved the people I made the movie with.”

Hugh Jackman has played Wolverine for almost twenty years, but he announced that he would be stepping down as the character. A reboot of the franchise would be the perfect opportunity for Momoa to go for the role.
