The story behind this union is a heartwarming one. When Hollie first saw the video of Josh hugging her dog, she was quick to let the little boy know that he was more than welcome to come over and play with the dog. Josh’s mother saw the video after it was originally posted. It did not take long for her to recognize her own son on camera.
He likes to pass by the house and see if the dog is up and about. As a mother, Ginger was a bit upset about the boy’s willingness to head onto someone else’s property. She also understands that her son was certainly not behaving with any sort of malicious intent.
Once Hollie knew about Josh, the boy became a regular visitor. He would stop by to play with Duchess on a consistent basis. The two became great friends. Hollie also learned that Josh was coping with the loss of his own dog, Bella. At long last, he has finally been given the chance to have a pet of his own again. She is a black Labrador, just like his pal next door.
Drake is the new puppy’s name. He has been welcomed into his new household with open arms. Josh still hasn’t forgotten about his buddy Duchess, though. According to Hollie, he continues to make time to play with his old friend.
