While we all know that all dogs go to Heaven, there is one dog who has decided to defy this edict. Rudolph the dog is a miracle animal with one heck of a story to tell. He was trapped at an overcrowded animal shelter and was slated to be euthanized. This is a story that we hear all too often but sadly, there is not much to be done about it.

Rudolph was not quite ready to go just yet, though. He is a dog with an extreme level of perseverance. Many of the dogs that are laid to rest at our nation’s animal shelters each day are perfectly healthy at the time. Did you know that over half of the animals that are euthanized are not actually experiencing any sort of health problems? This is a sobering statistic for sure.

When Rudolph was recently euthanized, the most amazing happened. The vet who was assigned to him left the room after administering the injection. We cannot begin to imagine the look on their face when they came back to the room and found Rudolph, still alive and well.

“He’s a miracle dog, absolutely,” said Kylie Jo Mitchell in an interview with a local news station. We are definitely inclined to agree with her.
This is not something that the shelter workers are used to seeing. King’s Harvest does not know how this happened but they are sharing the story with the rest of the world. We are glad that they have decided to do so. How else would we have learned about this awesome occurrence otherwise? Best of all, Rudolph has since been transferred to a no kill shelter.

The shelter is now fielding a wide range of requests from families that are looking to adopt the dog. God had a special plan for this dog and we cannot wait to see what happens next. Rudolph is certainly going to make one special family very happy. It is not every day that a shelter dog gets a second chance at life like this.
Rudolph is heading to his forever home. It was a tough decision with so many wonderful applications but Rudolph fell in love with this young man and the feeling was mutual ???? Thank you for adopting a rescue dog.

Hopefully, this new swarm of attention will allow some of the other dogs at this shelter to receive the help that they need as well. Joyce and Mitchell Valentine have taken Rudolph home and they are beyond happy to have him. Let’s all do our part to help other dogs in need by sharing this story with our closest friends and loved ones.
