“Seaside girl Little Seven” is one of the many popular live streaming personalities in China. She is also a blogger. Kuaishou is a platform where many Chinese citizens post shorter video clips. When you see the clip that she shared recently, you will not be able to believe your eyes. This woman tried to eat a live octopus and as you may have guessed, it did not go well for her.
The giant Pacific octopus that she was attempting to consume did not take kindly to her actions. As a result, she was left screaming in pain as she tried her best to remove the animal’s tentacles from her skin. The octopus was simply doing its best to fend her off. Perhaps she should have thought twice before recording something that would make her look this foolish.
We do not have very much sympathy for her. Since the video did not take long to go viral, we are guessing that almost everyone who saw it felt the same way. At first, she seems to find it funny, too. She even tells the audience to take a closer look at how hard the octopus was sucking. After a few moments, it becomes clear that the animal does not want to let go.
She cannot remove the octopus, no matter how hard she tries. We cannot imagine how much pain she was in. We also wouldn’t have attempted to consume a live octopus, either. Finally, the octopus lets go and the blogger seems to be pleased with this resolution. She clearly has not learned her lesson, either. She even promises her audience that she will eat the octopus in her next clip.
However, this relief does not last for long. She realizes that the octopus did some serious damage to her face. “My face is disfigured”, she wails. She regularly uploads videos of herself eating seafood and was clearly trying to attain a certain level of fame. It seems as if she should have been careful what she was wishing for.
Perhaps she thinks that the pain she experienced was worth the clicks from her ‘fans’. We cannot understand what compels people to behave this way. Hopefully, it was worth it. She was determined to become a trending topic and she achieved her goal.
