Sick Wolf Dog Was So Scared He Kept Trying To Hide In Corners

This is the story of a dog from the city of Los Angeles. Of course, some might be wondering why one dog would get this kind of treatment. Aren’t the Los Angeles streets full of dogs that no one else wants? However, this dog’s story is different from all of the others. New Boy’s story begins in earnest about three years ago. When he was first found, he was very skeptical about humans.

Passerby could tell that he had once had a home. The animal still had bits and pieces of a collar remaining on his neck. Once he was discovered, he was taken to the local vet’s office. At this time, they made an amazing discovery. It turned out that he was not just a dog. He was actually a cross between a dog and a wolf! This would hurt his chances of finding a home.

Animals like him have to be classified differently. Since New Boy was technically not a dog, it would be more challenging to find a forever home for him. A wild animal cannot be kept as a pet in most instances. It is actually against the law! This made New Boy’s prognosis even more grim than expected. Our hearts go out to this poor dog.

If you are wondering why it was so easy for the rescuers to catch a dog that is part wolf, the answer is a simple one. The poor animal’s feet were so inflamed, it was impossible for them to get away. They had to relent. While he could not find a forever home in the wake of these revelations, the good folks at W.O.L.F. Sanctuary decided that they were going to step up to the plate.

Before he could head off to his new home at the sanctuary, he needed to be cleaned up a bit. Wellington Veterinary Hospital was on hand to assist him. New Boy did not like the attention he was receiving. He would hide constantly. He was renamed Castiel and his past experiences with humans had left him skeptical. He had never interacted with other animals before, either.

Tenali made it to the Sanctuary…she and Castiel met, but Castiel played coy….so Tenali played in her water trough…
