When Kaew Sudsopha laid down for a night of sleep at her Thailand home, she never could have expected what would happen next. This story is definitely the stuff that nightmares are made of. It sounds like something straight out of a horror film. She was sharing the home with her son. He had installed cameras in her room, so that he would be able to keep a close eye on her at all times.

Sadly, the camera captured a moment that this mother and son would probably like to forget. The woman was fast asleep in her bed when the unthinkable occurred. She woke up in the night and started to make her way out of bed. She did not know that a snake had found its way into the home. The creature had slithered in undetected and no one was the wiser.

Snakes are already terrifying enough in the light of day. We cannot imagine how frightening it would be to uncover one during the nighttime. The glowing eyes pierced the darkness. The woman was eventually attacked, sinking its powerful fangs deep into her foot. At first, Kaew did not even believe that she was awake. She just assumed that she was having a bad dream.

The intense pain that she felt jolted her out of her half lucid state, though. She knew that she would need help and she needed it fast. Kaew got her son out of bed. He was able to frighten the snake away and he contacted animal control as well. The rescue workers arrived shortly thereafter. They removed the snake from the premises and restored order.

We are happy to report that Kaew is doing just fine. The snake did not cause any permanent damage to her foot. She does not like to sleep in the same room anymore and we cannot say that we blame her as far as that goes. It would be tough to sleep in the same room where any sort of attack occurred, let alone an attack from a snake.
