These police dogs and their handlers have gotten together to create a calendar that is going to raise money for the noblest of causes. This photo shoot is so bad ass, you will be asking where you can send your money. This calendar has been in existence since 2009 and has been a part of our lives ever since. Mike Anfield is a former Vancouver police sergeant.
The calendar costs $15.00, and you can order it from anywhere in the world here.
He is retired now but the calendar started as a way to raise money for various cancer fighting organizations after the untimely loss of his wife to the same disease. The B.C. Children’s Hospital Foundation and the B.C. Cancer Foundation receive the proceeds. The police dogs took the shot very seriously and they were sure to follow all of the instructions their handlers provided.
There are currently dogs in the police unit that is responsible for the calendar. The VPD Canine Unit is well known in the area. They have a wide range of PSD dogs who are able to assist the officers with a number of tasks. The police dogs are a crucial part of the unit. They are not there for show. These animals are highly trained police officers.
The Canine Unit handles around 10,000 calls each year. Evidence recovery, explosives detection, narcotics arrests, criminal apprehension….these dogs do it all. For the low, low price of just $15, you are able to order this calendar from any location in the world. Wouldn’t you like to bring these awesome dogs into your life as soon as possible?
Of course you would. This is one of the coolest concepts that we have ever seen and we are impressed by this police department’s ability to bring them to life. You would think that this calendar was made to be sold in stores for a profit. However, it is for a good cause. All of the proceeds will allow patients to receive the help that they need when they are fighting cancer.
This year’s edition promises to be better than ever before so be sure to get your paws on your calendar as soon as possible. In the meantime, we implore you to share with friends and loved ones. After all, who wouldn’t like to contribute to a good cause and procure a bad ass calendar at the same time? Let’s all do our part to raise money for a great cause!
