Cat Notices Special Needs Boy Having A Meltdown And Knows Exactly What To Do

Jayden Denton is one special little boy. Like anyone, he needs a friend who truly understands him. When the chips are down, we require friends that are there for us without even having to be asked. Jayden happens to have special needs as well. This can cause him to experience sad feelings from time to time. He also struggles with sensory overloads that cause him to have breakdowns.

Tonya Denton is his mother and she says that the child has been diagnosed with sensory processing disorder. Sometimes, he struggles to understand what is going on. Or, he will become overloaded. When these moments arise, he’s got an awesome friend who is willing to be there for him, though. Their name is Kitty! This rescue cat has changed everything for Jayden.

While Kitty is certainly no different from any other cat, this animal knows when to spring into action. The typical rebellion is put to the side as soon as Jayden needs his friend. When Jayden starts to struggle with his emotions, Kitty does not waver. This is much different from the behavior of most animals. A lot of cats would be scared and run away at moments like these.

Kitty is not most cats! In fact, Tonya has captured one of the most special moments that you are ever going to see. Kitty will tend to Jayden during the breakdowns by licking the boy’s head. This is one of the easiest ways to calm him and it works like a charm. Luckily for us, Tonya was able to capture one of these amazing moments on video and you just might need a Kleenex or two.

We could not stop sobbing ourselves! What a selfless and thoughtful cat. The family has tried a number of things, in hopes of keeping the boy’s emotions in check. Kitty is the best medicine that they could have ever hoped for. She and the boy have the sort of connection that cannot be emulated. Tonya believes that they are meant to be and we are inclined to agree.

My son in a melt down this cat can sense it and calms him down every time! For licensing/commercial usage, please contact licensing@rumble.com

Kitty serves an anchor and lets him know that everything is going to be okay. Tonya feels much better knowing that her son has such an awesome friend and so do we! We are glad to see that Jayden will never be alone in this world. Special needs children often struggle to find friends who truly understand them. This is never going to be a problem for Jayden!
