Roger Gemoules works as a school resource officer in Cahokia, Illinois. He was out on patrol as usual and he saw a car with a broken window up ahead. The car also had an expired license plate.

When officer Gemoules pulled the vehicle over, he found that Ka’Shawn Baldwin was behind the wheel. Ka’Shawn couldn’t help but think the worst when he saw all the blue lights flashing in the rearview mirror.

The first thing that came to his mind was that the car would be towed and he would go to jail because he didn’t have a proper license. He was also picturing the fines that he would not be able to pay because he couldn’t afford them.

When the officer came up to the car, he admitted that he shouldn’t be driving it. He was doing it for a legitimate reason, he had a job interview at FedEx and really wanted the opportunity to have that job.

He certainly did not want to miss the interview and time was almost up.

The police officer decided to do something completely unexpected. He told reporters, “Something came upon me.”

It was a little voice inside of his head that told him to do something different rather than writing a ticket. Now that it has been told online, it is going viral for all the right reasons.
