The game of baseball has been a favorite pastime for years, and the game just got better. We can enjoy it more, thanks to Finn, a bat-retrieving dog and perhaps our new favorite part of the game.
Finn knows how to do his job and he stays out of the way when he should. The only real problem is that people can be real jerks.
A minor league game was taking place between the Las Vegas Aviators and the Sacramento River Cats when this despicable act took place. Finn was doing his job well but someone had to ruin it for him.
A discarded bat lay near home plate and Finn was on his way to pick it up. Just before he got there, however, the umpire picked it up and tossed it to the side.
That’s right, he totally snubbed the adorable pooch and the crowd was not happy. They let him know their feelings with a chorus of boos.
You can see it on this video:

The fans were probably rooting for their favorite team but I guarantee they were all fans of Finn. I can also say with certainty that none of them were big fans of the umpire after this happened.
Even though Finn was snubbed by the ump, he took things in stride. He simply ran over to the place where the bat was resting, picked it up and did his duty.
Here is a look at how things should have taken place:

No wonder the crowd loves him so much.
It’s Friday! The only thing that could make this day better is if the Las Vegas 51s Baseball Team were playing at home!
