Dog Takes His Dad’s Hand To Safely Cross The Street

When we are raising our children, one of the first lessons that we try to teach them has to do with crossing the street. If the little ones do not look both ways and hold our hands, we let them know about it. The pup in this story has already internalized this lesson and we are head over heels in love. The pup was recently spotted crossing a busy road in the middle of Nepal.

An American journalist just so happened to be on the scene at the time. She came to Nepal to visit and was planning to hike to the Everest Base Camp. Natalie Compton had some time to kill in Kathmandu before the big trek, though. She was able to track down a local gym, so that she could stay in shape for the journey. After one of her workouts, she sat down to do some people watching.

While the streets were quite mesmerizing, she never could have expected what she would see. By the time she came across this adorable pup, she was already in the process of taking video. Natalie never could have expected what would end up happening next, though. As a millennial who loves dogs, taking videos like these is just a part of life.

Until she saw the moment that left her totally amazed. The owner summoned the pet’s paw and guided them across the street. We have never seen anything quite like this and we are sure that Natalie hasn’t either. Nepalese people take their relationships with their dogs with the utmost seriousness. Each year, there is a festival dedicated to these pups.

Kukur Tihar gives locals the chance to show their appreciation for the friendship and loyalty that these dogs are willing to provide. The dogs are even given the chance to wear their very own crowns. Natalie is no stranger to traveling to exotic locales but even she was stunned by what she saw. When she posted the video on Twitter, her tweet took off immediately.

Now it is time for you and your loved ones to check out this awesome clip. These are the best 15 seconds that you are going to have all day. If you will excuse us, we are now going to try our best to teach our dog to hold our hand when we cross the street. This is one of the most inspiring videos that we have seen in a while.
