Breaking Bad was a story about a high school chemistry teacher who started out fairly normal in life but ended up as a murderous meth cook when he found out he had terminal cancer. People loved all five of the seasons and AMC saw a record-breaking audience of 10.3 million for the finale.
Vince Gilligan, the creator also produced a prequel/sequel-spinoff series, Better Call Saul. It follows the life of Jimmy McGill as he tries to become a lawyer and overcome his criminal past. The series has also been loved by critics because of the characters and the comedy. Others, however, say that it is lacking in action.
If you happen to be a fan, you will appreciate the latest news. Vince Gilligan has come out with a sequel film script that will “follow the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.”
The Hollywood Reporter and some other news outlets are claiming that the man is Jesse Pinkman. When we last saw him, he was on his way in the opposite direction from Walter White, who was dying as well as quite a few dead gang members. Perhaps this will give us an opportunity to see the rest of the story.
The premiere of the film is set to air on Netflix and then AMC. That is about the extent of what we know. It seems as if both Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston will be back in their roles, which begs the question, how it will happen? After all, Walter White did die in the series finale. Cranston has denied reading the script for the movie but then speculated Walter may be appearing in some flashbacks.
Fans of Breaking Bad then received some additional information that got them excited. Cranston and Paul both tweeted identical images of two donkeys. The message, although cryptic gave hope to those fans. It simply said, ‘soon’. The reason why they chose donkeys has yet to be seen.
In the comments, fans did not “tread lightly” with their excitement. “WHAT IS HAPPENIIINNGGG?!!” asked one Twitter user, while another joked, “Breaking Burro.” Meanwhile, one person screamed: “WHAT?!? TELL ME @BryanCranston and @aaronpaul_8, I SWWWWEAR I WON’T TELL ANYONE!!! IS WALT ALIVE AND STARTED OPERATIONS IN MEXICO, AND THE MONEY WAS TOO GOOD FOR JESSE TO WALK AWAY FROM?!?!”
We look forward to any more information that may be coming our way.
