We have seen some rather interesting videos thanks to dashboard cameras. Perhaps one of the most terrifying that we have seen is this clip when a 2-year-old girl falls out of a moving car to the street below.
The video was posted to Facebook by Chad Mock. It happened in Minnesota when a young girl fell out of an open car door when the vehicle turned the corner. She was still strapped into her car seat.
We are happy to say that the girl escaped without a scratch.
“If it [didn’t] happen in front of me I’d never have believed it,” he wrote. “The child was ok. The parents came back. Parents and police checked the child out as well.”
The parents drove off as people were trying to flag them down. According to some estimates, it took 20 minutes for them to return.
An official from Mankato (the city where it occurred) said the girl was fastened in the seat properly but it was not attached to the car correctly.
if it didnt happen in front of me i'd never have believed it….???? the child was ok. the parents came back. paramedics and police checked the child out as well. very lucky. (For usage and licensing, contact licensing@viralhog.com)

Police did ask the local county attorney’s office to charge the parents with child endangerment. They also wanted another charge for not fastening the child restraint system properly. Mock went on to say that they left the scene with the child.
This video went viral quickly and was watched almost 1 million times within 2 days.
Many of the commenters were praising Mock for how he reacted to the accident. They are also calling the timing of him being on the scene a miracle.
“Thank the Lord for putting you in the right spot at the right time,” one person wrote.
This is a good reminder of the importance of car seats but they only work if they are attached properly.
