Have you ever heard that a dog is ‘man’s best friend?’ Of course you have, but have you ever really experienced it? When we have a dog in our life, we don’t need to worry if they are going to be there for us or not and we never get judged by what they see on the surface. Every day, we get the same love that we got the day before.
Although we may have experienced this in our lives, not every dog owner feels the same way. They may even decide that they no longer want to keep up on their commitment and end up abandoning those animals on the street, just as easy as they would throw away a piece of trash.
That was seen recently in Thailand. A dog was abandoned on the street and chased after the owner’s vehicle in an attempt to find out what was wrong. He just couldn’t comprehend why he had been left behind.
The scene is sure to break your heart. It was captured by Kat Jaroensuk, a motorcyclist who was nearby. You can see the helpless dog chasing after the silver truck that had left him behind.
Kat said: ‘I didn’t know how long this poor dog had been running after the car but I could see that he was running so fast that his legs were sore.
“I honked at the truck to get their attention, but the driver did not seem to slow down. So, I accelerated my motorbike to knock on the window and told the couple inside that they were being followed by the dog.
“At first, I was being positive and helpful, because I really thought that they might really not know about it. But when the wife replied me, ‘Yeah, we don’t want it,’ and shut the window right in front of my face, then I knew that they intentionally left their own pet behind.’’
Kat had talked to a number of friends in the area and it seems that the former owners might have been moving to a new home. They might not have been able to keep the dog in the family any longer.
Unfortunately, Kat searched the area and was not able to find the family. “The dog kept running and crying even though the truck was nowhere to be seen.”
In the end, Kat called the incident ‘disgraceful’. We wholeheartedly agree. Hopefully, the pup will find a forever home.
