Lomira High School students were recently treated to a snow day. While most kids would probably be content to spend the day sleeping and avoiding all chores, the kids in this story decided to spend the time helping others. The wrestling team from Lomira High School put their collective bulk to great use, spending their day digging neighbors out from the snow.
The Lomira Booster Club Facebook page displayed pictures of their selfless actions that would soon go viral. These boys did not want any recognition for their good deeds. However, the booster club wanted to make sure that the world knew about the level of decency that these boys displayed. Jamie Feucht is the booster club president who organized the snow removal.
We are so incredibly proud of our Lomira High School Wrestling team for spending their day off of school AGAIN helping…

He also spent his day working alongside of the boys. The community offered a lot of positive feedback as well. They were more than happy for the help. As you can imagine, there were a number of older citizens who would have struggled to remove themselves from the snowfall otherwise. These amazing athletes definitely deserve all of the recognition that they are receiving.
After all, there are too many people out there who are willing to blame the “younger generation” for all of the ills of society. Everyone has read the social media posts about these topics. People sure do love to hop on their soapboxes and preach about the ways of the youth. The local community is rallying around these boys and we love to see it.
They have left a number of positive comments on this story. As for the boys themselves, they were just happy to spending time outdoors. The frigid conditions did not dampen their spirits one bit. A time lapse video was also shared of the boys and we cannot get enough of watching it. If you are anything like us, you will want to watch it over and over again, too.
A foot of snow fell during this snowstorm. It took the local community several days to dig out of it. Thanks to these efforts of these kids, the process became even easier. Even the administrators are getting in on the act. This school principal even decided to issue a remix of “Ice Ice Baby”, just to commemorate the occasion! Please be sure to pass this awesome story along, so that these kids (and the principal) can receive the credit they deserve.
