It: Chapter Two trailer has been released and it looks Terrifying

The new trailer for the highly anticipated sequel “It: Chapter Two” has been released, and it’s just as scary as much as you could’ve imagined.

The follow up to “It” will be released roughly in less than two months, and the questions on the lips of horror flick fans are what can be expected of the film’s sequel.

People are wondering whether or not it will be as scary as the first, or if it will be as scary and bloody as the previous film – and it’s looking like the answer to all the questions is a big, fat yes.

See for yourself:

The trailer was debuted at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 17. According to CNET, the film’s trailer quickly shows that most of the Losers’ Club members have somehow repressed the traumatic memories of Pennywise after having left their hometown of Derry.

Mike (Isaiah Mustafa) never left Derry, therefore the memories of Pennywise are still fresh to him, as he tells the others – Bill (James McAvoy), Beverly (Jessica Chastain), Richie (Bill Hader), Ben (Jay Ryan) and Eddie (James Ransone) that Pennywise is still active. He then adds a very cryptic, “Something happens to you when you leave this town.”

Throughout the trailer there are plenty of red balloons and sewers, as well as a scary image of Pennywise flying through the air holding balloons in his hands. Then there’s another part of the trailer where we see McAvoy running through a funhouse to rescue a child who’s encountered the clown. Talk about terrifying.

The movie is set to follow up after the events of 2017’s “It,” and is going to continue the adaptation of Stephen King’s famous novel of the same name.

The sequel is going to be set in 2016, an apparent 27 years after the events of “It.” The film will also see Bill Skarsgård return as Pennywise, the horrifying clown.

“It: Chapter Two” has an official synopsis that reads:

“Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, ‘IT CHAPTER TWO’ brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.”

Now that the cast of characters are all grown up, if you assumed it would be a safe bet that there’s going to be more blood and gore – then you would be absolutely right.

Gary Dauberman, writer, has already confirmed “Chapter Two” will have loads more blood guts to scare you than the previous film had.

Talking with The Hollywood Reporter, Dauberman said:

“Definitely bloodier than the first and it is just as scary, if not scarier. The two movies feel like a complete whole. This feels like a natural progression and extension of the first.”

Jessica Chastain also backed up this claim when she went on The Tonight Show and referred to a scene in the film, telling Fallon, the scene has “the most blood that’s ever been in a horror film.”

No thank you.

“It: Chapter Two” is scheduled to hit cinemas on September 6, 2019.
