Most men will start to complain if they have the slightest twinge of stomach pain so we can only imagine how much they would squawk if they had period pain. Quite simply, it is something they never have to endure but for some women who suffer from dysmenorrhea, the level of back pain, headaches, nausea and diarrhea that goes along with their period is off the charts.
That is why it is annoying to many women when a man dares to compare the pain of scraping your knees with that of having your period. Women get up in arms quickly, and we can understand why. That doesn’t stop men from making the mistake, however, and Twitter user @__Sargee paid the price for speaking up. He is a male athlete who shared a picture of a soccer player with scraped knees. He then posted it with the caption “Until women experience this, I don’t wanna hear about period pains.”

You might be surprised by the feedback. One user wrote: “No uterus, no opinion”

Another female athlete compared her injuries to her period pain.
I was 8 when I got my first turf burn on my knee. 20 yrs later, I still bear the scar. In HS I got a spike in my back. I've broken my thumb, gotten burned, and more. Yet NONE of those compared to my cramps from periods, which has made me pass out before. Sorry you're a wimp

In reply to the previous comment, one offered a suggestion: “If men think skinned knees hurt that bad they should experience idk something like a skinned internal organ ripped out every single month all the bleeding and cramps and groin pain.”
LMAO. "I don't want to hear any woman talk about period pain. This professional athlete skinned his kmees"

Men experience abuse too. But on a world wide scale women are more vulnerable to it. Being sold as cattle, involuntarily married to older men, domestic violence etc. Men do experience abuse. And they are valid. Don’t put words in my mouth.

@katmarsch then decided to search Google for the knees and surprise, they belong to a woman.

I guess he is tasting his sneaker about now. People continued to speak up about what he said:
“I think my favorite thing in these shots is she’s like ‘grazed my knees but no scars so no big,'” one user wrote. “And he’s like WOMEN COULD NEVER.”
While another added:
“You do realize that every single match of the 2015 Women’s World Cup was played on artificial turf, right?”
One Twitter user wrote: “This is…. nothing? Like you think turf burn is bad? Oh my sweet summer child.”
Perhaps the best came from a woman who laid it all out on the table: ” Also, periods feel like being stabbed with a knife in the gut, since one of our organs is literally killing itself for a week as we go into a mild form of labor. But sure. Scraped knees are worse.”
Let’s hope he learned his lesson.
