Man Posts Ex-Wife’s Engagement Photos Online. But It’s His Caption That Is Turning Heads

We may have many difficult things that we go through in life but a divorce is one of the hardest we may experience. That is especially true if children are involved. Emotions tend to run deep and forgotten arguments suddenly come to the surface. It isn’t long before we lose focus on what is most important.

Blake Higginbotham is all too familiar with that scenario. He and his ex-wife went through a messy divorce a few years ago and although they hated each other at the time, their relationship is much different today. They try to keep things on a kinder level because of their three children.

One day Blake saw pictures online of his ex-wife with a new engagement ring. He was understandably concerned about the prospect of his ex-wife marrying another man. He shared the engagement photos with a caption that was full of emotions. It is now going viral for all the right reasons.

Blake shared the announcement photos of his ex-wife’s engagement on Facebook and wrote:

“This is my ex-wife. The mother of my three children. The woman who brought all three of my children into this world.

We got married young, had three beautiful children and had a bitter divorce.”

“Three years later, that relationship is much different. We share the kids evenly and support them in everything they do. We act as a team.

The man she’s with is a great guy. He’s great to my kids and they love him to death. As a father, I couldn’t ask for anything more. I sincerely wish you both the best. I’m thankful for many things, including y’all’s relationship.

To anyone divorced, I encourage you to try and look at this from a different angle. Just because you didn’t work out as husband and wife, doesn’t mean you can’t be Mom and Dad.”

Blake and his ex-wife now have a better relationship. Even though they didn’t work out as a married couple, they want their children to have a better life with both parents.

They provide a good example of teamwork and their children will benefit from it for the rest of their lives.

Co-parenting is not always the easiest option and sometimes it may not even be possible. For Blake’s family, however, it was the perfect choice. They understand that sticky situations do arise at times but with love and patience, it can all work out for the children sake.
