Shelter Dog Who’s Been Wearing A Christmas Sweater For Two Months Finally Gets A ‘Furever’ Home

Miami Dade Animal Services received a dog by the name of Bobby last year. Bobby was surrendered to this facility and became fast friends with the volunteers. Sadly, this did not lead to an immediate adoption. After spending two months at Miami Dade Animal Services, he was placed on the worst list of all: the code red list. It was not looking good for Bobby at this time.

Fortunately, a photo of the dog was posted to social media and things started to look up for the little fellow. A photo was taken of him in a Christmas sweater. He looked very sad and dejected in the picture as well. The volunteers had hoped that someone would notice this dog and decide to save his life. The heartbreak he is experiencing is written all over his face.

The photo’s caption was a tearjerker. The shelter volunteers urged those who saw the photo to do the right thing. If no one was willing to intervene, Bobby would die at this location. Miami Dade Animal Services also offered to help pay for his adoption fees if someone was able to provide him with a new home. The photo did what it was supposed to do, though.

An outpouring of immediate support came from people who were looking to save him as soon as possible. Bobby was not going to have to spend the rest of his short life at the facility. He was finally going to receive the second chance that he deserves. Robert Miller saw Bobby and knew that he had to help. He also works for a local rescue group.

Robert knows exactly what happens to dogs like Bobby when they cannot find a new home. However, he arrived at the shelter and received a bit of interesting news: Bobby had already been taken in by another shelter volunteer named Paola. The dog was taken to the vet’s office by his new mother and he received treatment for a few minor ailments that he was experiencing.

Paola vows that Bobby’s life will be much different now and we are inclined to believe her. Once the post went viral, she knew that good people and bad people would be drawn out. That is why she wanted to step up to the plate. We are glad that she did. No dog deserves to spend the holidays alone.
