Recently, Snooki got mom-shamed for putting her kids in strollers at Disney World, but she wasn’t going to take it.
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, is best known for her time on “Jersey Shore”. She is currently quite pregnant with her third child with husband Jionni LaValle. The couple already have two kids: Lorenzo, 6 and Giovanna, 4.
The family went for a weekend getaway to Disney World.
Snooki posted plenty of family photos of the trip to her Instagram, including one where her kids are in costumes and seated in strollers.
That was what set off the mom-shaming.
One mom wrote, “Omg my kids would never be in a stroller that big.”
While another said, “3 kids and have done Disney 3 times. If you’re over 2, you’re walking.”
And a third commented, “All them kids know how to walk.”
Snooki wasn’t going to ignore the comments. Instead, she replied to the trolling on her post, explaining that using strollers in large crowds makes things easier. As she put it, using strollers “saves me the stress of not losing my offspring.”
A fair enough argument since Disney World can be quite hectic enough for someone who isn’t pregnant.
While the trip was fun, it was also exhausting. And it’s even more so for Snooki since she’s currently very pregnant.
She even appropriately captioned one photo, “Disney kicked this Big Mawma’s a**.”
To make life easier and less stressful, Snooki and Jionni brought strollers for their kids. While the kids can walk, going for miles and miles through a crowded theme park all day gets exhausting and strollers just make life easier for both kids and parents, since it is a lot easier to push a tired kid in a stroller than to try to carry them.
When Snooki posted a photo with the strollers, the trolling began.
Many people criticized Snooki by saying that her kids were too old to be pushed around in strollers.
Snooki set the record straight in a since-deleted reply, which read, “They walk! But in large crowds I prefer they sit their a**es down. Saves me the stress of not losing my offspring.”
After Snooki replied, others came to her defense.
“I think she’s pretty smart for bringing strollers for the kids,” one supporter wrote.
Some moms in the comments pointed out that the trolls were mom-shaming.
“Good for you if your child will walk 10 miles at Disney World. If she wants to put her kids in a stroller, let her! I’m 32 years old and I would ride around in a stroller too around Disney,” one woman said.
And incase any parents with small children in strollers were thinking of going to Disney World, Disney has changed its rules about which strollers are allowed, so plan ahead.
The most important thing is that the family enjoyed their time at Disney, and it certainly seems to be the case.
Meanwhile, Snooki and her husband are expecting another boy.
Meanwhile, Snooki’s “Jersey Shore” best friend, Deena Cortese, recently gave birth to her first baby – a boy.
