There’s A Giant Troll In Colorado That You Can Hike To And Here’s Where It’s Located

If you are an outdoor enthusiast that would like to take things to the next level, there is an excellent opportunity hiding somewhere in Colorado. I’m not talking about Bigfoot, I’m talking about a 15-foot tall troll that is hiding in the wilderness.

Unfortunately, we are not talking about a living troll. What we are talking about, however, is something that is just as impressive. It certainly is something that you will not find elsewhere on your nature hikes.

The troll statue is the brainchild of a Danish artist, Thomas Dambo. The statue is entitled Isak Heartstone, and it is only one of the many trolls inspired creations that Thomas has left scattered across the globe. Approximately 10 days in total were required to construct this gigantic troll using recycled materials. Those materials include stones from local buildings and tools used by local climbers.

You can find it in the hills of Breckenridge, Colorado on East Wellington Trail near the French Creek area. The trail is open to anyone and according to Out There Colorado, it is family-friendly because it is at a beginner level. You should be aware, however, that it is found that a 9600-foot elevation so if you are not accustomed to exercising in high altitudes, you could get sick.

The video below shows the reactions of area hikers who happened upon this unexpected treasure. It might even spark a desire to take a trip to Breckenridge and meet him for yourself.
