This Beautiful House Built Over A Pond Has A Fishing Hole Inside, And It Could Be Yours

Paul Phillips managed to be on the news in 2015 for building a home over a pond. He loved to fish and now he could fish from his living room. You can find the house in Skiatook, Oklahoma and if you love fishing, you may just want to consider picking it up. It has been on the market since March 2019.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home is styled like a cabin and sits over the water. Zillow has it listed for $229,000.

One of the most unique features of the home is a trap door in the living room. It allows you to fish without leaving home. You can see the trapdoor in this picture.

The living room is also open to the kitchen.

There is a television right by the trapdoor, which we think is ingenious.

There are plenty of wood floors throughout the 1750 square-foot house. A master bedroom and bath are also on the first floor.

Two other bedrooms and one bathroom can be found upstairs.

If you grow tired of fishing from the living room, you could fish from the additional structure on the property. It includes an open room with cabinetry, a refrigerator and a dock that goes out over the water.

The home comes with 1.24 acres of property and you get all of the furniture with it. It is sitting on a corner lot.

Skiatook Lake is just around the corner, giving you the opportunity to enjoy plenty of recreation on the water. It includes a sand beach, playground, marina, camping and hiking trails.

Around 7500 people live in the city of Skiatook. A number of stores and antique dealers are found in the historic downtown area. You also find an old-fashioned drugstore, dance studio, bakery and the bar in town.

If all of this isn’t exciting enough, you can visit the annual Pioneer Day Festival at a local park with vendors, music, art and a parade.
