We tend to think of acts of kindness as being something that is ‘in your face’ but sometimes they take place behind the scenes. It doesn’t have to involve a celebrity giving somebody a lot of money or perhaps even somebody saving someone else’s life. Sometimes it is the simple things that can really move us.
It was seen recently when an older couple was struggling to get into a car. Three young men saw them having difficulty and they decided to help out. Even though they didn’t know them, they rushed over to lend a hand. A police officer who saw what was taking place took an inspirational video that is now going viral online.

She was Officer Kanesha Carnegie of the Levy County Sheriff’s Office and she was going to help but she decided that the young man had it under control. That is when she recorded the scene in a video.
The Officer knew the three young men, who are rappers and she knew that they were good young men with a fine reputation in the neighborhood. She said the following in an interview with local news:
“I know these men from the neighborhood, and I wanted them to have that moment to show who they really are.”

After uploading the video to Facebook, it received almost 5 million views very quickly. The grandson of the elderly couple also said that his grandparents don’t use social media. If they would’ve seen the video, he knew that they would’ve been happy.
David was happy with the fact that the young men helped them in the first place. He wished them luck and blessings and sent them on their way. What impressed the young men is that David and Rose were still out and about at their age.
When we see simple acts of kindness, it can inspire us to do great things.
