It doesn’t matter who we are, we are going to have some type of problem from time to time. Perhaps it is nothing more than just a ‘hitch in our giddy-up’ but when it happens, we tend to take notice.

One issue that we probably all deal with at times is a headache. It might be due to dehydration or perhaps a change in the weather but if it sticks around too long, it might begin to concern us. I’m sure, however, that none of us would think that we had a headache because there was a spider living in our ear but then again…

One woman who was dealing with headaches found out that a living spider was living in her ear canal.

I don’t know about you, but this is almost enough to send me screaming and crying to the shower. I HATE spiders, so the thought of having one living in my ear is just too much to handle.

Lekshmi is a woman from India and she had this very problem. It didn’t happen at random, she loved napping on the veranda and her ear must have looked rather inviting to the little spider.

She was dealing with a headache that was severe enough that she went to the hospital. The doctors found the spider in her ear when they looked a little closer.

Dr. Santosh Shivaswamy is an ENT consultant and Lekshmi’s doctor. He said it isn’t out of the ordinary for people to get things lodged in their ear but they never found a spider before.

“I was terrified as I could feel [the] movement of a creature in my ear. The acute ear ache followed by sharp pains suffocated me,” Lekshmi recalled.

“I couldn’t think of anything and was petrified when the doctor confirmed [the] presence of a spider in my ear.”
