Sometimes, a dog is all that stands between us and the abyss. They are our friends when no one else is around. They are the ones who make sure that everyone else is okay. John Huynh found himself in a v very dark place a few years back and if not for the love of a special dog, he does not know where he would be today. The man was struck by a drunk driver and badly injured.

He no longer had usage of his right leg. As you can imagine, he was very depressed. John had some very dark thoughts during this time and decided that he would adopt a dog to help him through the difficulties. Sasuke became his best friend. John’s life was turned around by his presence. Even though Sasuke is not a therapy dog, he was still able to help his friend through a rough patch.

All he could offer John was his love. As it turns out, this was all that John needed. “I never, ever felt alone,” John said. He was a broken man at the time and he just needed someone who could offer him unconditional love. This is an easy feeling for most of us to relate to. Everyone falls on hard times. That’s why our doggy friends are on hand to assist us when we need them most.

Sasuke is now being credited with restoring John’s positive feelings. He says that the dog was able to make him feel like his old self again. It is a feeling that he thought he would never get back in the wake of his accident. Sasuke has already rescued John and now it is John’s turn to return the favor. The dog has gone missing from his family’s residence.

He is doing everything in his power to make sure that his pal is able to return home. John is blanketing the town with flyers, posting on Facebook and forming his very own search party. He also cut up the dog’s favorite blanket into tiny pieces and sprinkled them in the backyard. John hopes that Sasuke will be lured back home by the scent.
