Teens Move Sign To Reveal A Deep Hole With A Pair Of Eyes Looking Up

Two young men were recently out for a stroll when they came across an odd sign. This is a relatively normal occurrence in most instances, right? In a different world, the boys might have taken the sign home and argued over which of them gets to keep it in their bedroom. However, they were in for quite the shock once they flipped the sign over to learn more.

Just imagine how scary it would be to flip over a sign and then learn that it was hiding a creature. This is what the boys experienced for themselves, firsthand. Tyler and Eugene are cousins from Flint, Michigan. Once they flipped the sign and saw the eyes staring back at them, they realized that there was nothing to be afraid of after all. An emaciated pitbull had been trapped by someone very cruel.

Just a reminder of how far I've come on this journey!

The sign had previously been used as a cover for a storm drain. From the looks of it, someone tossed the dog inside and left them for dead. The two boys did not know how long the dog had been stranded but they were determined to get the animal the help they needed. Tyler says that all they could see was the dog’s eyes. They knew they could not leave him behind, though.

Tyler’s father George was enlisted to help out. The boys could not lift the animal out of the hole on their own. In fact, Tyler even asked his father if he would go to the store and get some food for the stranded dog. The selfless young man even offered to pay for it with his own money. The Streethearts rescue group was contacted shortly thereafter.

They were more than happy to help out in any way that they could. The hungry dog ate all of the food that they dropped down into the hole right away.

Mars is his new name and he was eventually rescued from the hole. While Mars had been through a terrible ordeal, he did not allow the situation to change his opinion when it comes to humans.

Thanks to the quick thinking of these two brave young men, Mars is still alive and well today. We shudder to think of what may have happened to him if they had not come along when they did. Their rapid response to a pressure situation made all of the difference in the life of this wounded animal.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I have so much to be thankful for, not the least of which is all of you!! Love You♡
