Like many women, Shelly Gola received flowers on Valentine’s Day. At first, she thought that they were from her children but when she saw the note, she didn’t know what to say. It turns out that her late husband, Jim had sent her the flowers. He had passed away almost 8 months earlier and the note read, ‘Happy Valentine’s Day Honey. Stay Strong! Yours Forever, Love Jim.’
Shelley was unsure how to feel about the delivery so she wanted to confirm that they were actually from her late husband. She called the florist and they told her it was legitimate. It turns out that Jim, who passed away from an inoperable brain tumor at only 53 years of age did something special in advance of his death. He set up the gift of flower delivery from the florist only days after he was diagnosed.
“Until the day I die I’ll get Valentine’s flowers on Valentine’s Day and that’s just a testament of his love all over again,” Shelly told the local news. “He’s such an amazing man and he is just can love beyond boundaries, there is no boundaries with him. Even in death, he’s just amazing.”
